Case Study: The Office of the Trust Special Administrators for Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust

The Issue

Following the Francis Report’s publication, Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust was found to be clinically and financially unsustainable. This meant specialists, Trust Special Administrators, were brought in to find the best way to ensure patients still got the services they needed in the future.

What Ravenhill did

Our team set up and provided high quality communications services to make sure that everyone who needed to know understood what the Office of the Trust Special Administrator was doing and why it was necessary. This included a major statutory public consultation to ensure that public, patients and staff were listened to.

The Results

High quality patient services have been secured and continue to be provided for people served by the hospital after the Trust became the first Foundation Trust to be dissolved.
